LCD “Southern Domodedovo” is being built in the southern part of the city of Domodedovo. The distance from it to the Moscow Ring Road is 23 km. The road to the capital by train or minibus takes about 40 minutes. It is planned to erect 15 high-rise buildings, as well as a shopping center, children’s institutions. A large amount of land is proposed for this project (according to the masterplan), but ultimately most of the buildings were unfinished. Those that are finished were constructed in terrible quality (although still better than those that were constructed during the Soviet times). The reason people refuse to move in is probably attributed to poor infrastructure. It seems that the boiler house (heating) is severly lacking. On top of that, there does not seem to be much public amenity in the area. The developer promised to build a school, but it has never happened. In total, in three buildings (34, 35 and 38), commissioned, 520 families will be new settlers. The total area of these houses is 44 274 square meters, 538 apartments are ready for habitation. Construction of buildings 34 and 35 began in 2012, buildings 38 - in 2013. Since the end of 2014, construction work was conducted with a significant lag behind the schedule and in the end were actually stopped.
The Chairman of the Management Board of the Russian Capital Bank noted that by the end of 2016 the bank “Russian Capital” plans to put into operation in “Southern Domodedovo” 16 houses, in 2017 - 4 houses and 2 more houses in 2018.
